Hey guys, I have just purchased a 1997 Cobra convertible and picked up a Bassani catted x-pipe and had a question about the install.

Do you have to purchase MIL Eliminators if you have a catted x-pipe? The x-pipe only has two cats and didn't know if I still needed MIL eliminators for the front two o2 sensors? Sorry, I'm kinda new to modify mustangs.

Any help with be appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty sure the stock H pipe I took off only had 2 cats. Bottom line, if the cats are good you should not need MIL eliminators. The rear O2 sensors will read the stream as "catalyzed", which is what you want in this situation.

Bassani x-pipe only uses 2 cats., so if you plan on using them MILs are not needed. If you plan on not using the cats then MILs or changing your tune is required.
