98 Cobra throttle cable loose

Throttle cable is very loose. How can you fix this? Any other way the putting something above the gas petal? Thanks

I had the same problem on my car. Fixed it by getting a piece from a bicycle shop that was meant to be clamped to a bicycle's brake cables. It was basically a grooved clamp with set-screw.
