So I came accross a pretty reliable source that says that when the 99,00 L came out, they had stronger rods than the 01,02's. Then ford went back to the 99,00 rods in 03,04L's. This guy has an 03 with a 6lb lower and some giggle gas. Runs 11's. Stock block, heads, and eaton.

Input??

I heard that the 01's had the weakest engine in some respect (which may be the rods) but, I did not hear anything about 02's. (yeah "I heard" real info...I know)

Well, the pistons and rods were pulled out of the motor at around 25,000 miles, and I abused the living hell out of the truck. They looked almost brand new. Oh, '03 Lightning BTW. I will post some pics of them next time I get a chance to see them.
