Hi guys, i have a 00' L, i just purchased a 01-04 ported Eaton which came with the 01-04 lower intake/ intercooler.. Now i know i can redrill the holes on the 01-04 Eaton and us it on my 99-00 lower intake (so i can use either my stock 99-00 lower intake or the 01-04)... I've read the 01-04 provide better mid-range power and the 99-00 better top-end power... Is this correct??? Which lower intake works best on our trucks???? Thanks

i just changed mine to an 03 because of the intercooler. the runners on the 01+ are all the same size as on the 99-00 i believe the 2 front ones are smaller than the rest restrikting the air flow. i know they say the 01+ intake helps in that it is rated at 20 more hp than 99-00.
also before installing this on your truck make sure you take it apart and clean the shit out of it.

If you got a lower intake with it, then you will want to use the lower intake, as it is a upgrade to the 99/00!

So let me make sure I understand... The only things I need to upgrade is a 01-04 blower and 01-04 intake?
the blowers are the same except for the holes that the bolts go in to bolt it to the lower. to make a 99-00 blower fit a 01+ intake you will have to drill to fit. its real easy.

I don't think you can redrill a 99-00 blower to fit a 01-04 lower intake, if i'm not mistaken you could only redrill 01-04 blower to fit 99-00 lower intakes..

I think it is more in the tune and the bigger MAF that gives the '01 + the 20 extra ponies. 99-00 are PIG RICH from the factory while the 01+ are more aggressive (due to the 90mm MAF)

Just my thoughts on this.....
