Hey guys so my buddys putting a mark 8 motor in his 96 like i did with my 98. I put the set of intake cams in my b heads from the cobra along with the cobra intake, he plans on doing the same but i was wondering would the 99 cobra intake cams work better? ( then the mark 8 cams ) And im talking intake only. I know the exhaust cams from the 96-98 cobras and 93-98 mark 8 are the best sounding 4v cams. Also with flat tops would he have ptv clearence issues?

Your grammar is really throwing me off and reading your post hurt my head trying to figure out what the hell you were trying to say.

96-98 cams > 99/01 cams > mark viii cams

unless you're going turbo you need not use a 99 cam anywhere. and you will not run into ptv issues unless you install the cams wrong

pretty sure the mark * cams are the same as the 96-98 cobra cams aren't they. none of the cams you mentioned are you going to "hear".

No i dont care about the sound. All i care about is the intake cams. I know the mark has bad intake cams,The exhaust cams are the same as the 96-98 cobras. I just wanna know if since the heads are gonna be apart and off if i should put the 99 cobra intake cams in there as well.

Nope, they're identical to 03/04 4v cams. [184*] as opposed to our [204*] and the 99/01 have [200*]

96-98 cobra > 99/01 cobra > mark viii/terminator/mach1

and the exhaust cams are all identical..just the intakes are different.

Intake cams specs:
96-98 intakes, 204 deg
99 Cobra, 200 deg
01 Cobra, 202 deg.
03/04 cobra, mach, marauder, avaiator, 190 deg
Mark 8, 184 deg

All stock 4v exhaust cams are the same and don't affect the sound of the exhaust.

There are no PTV issues with flat tops and any stock cams.
