'99 M3 thinks he can beat me

My boss has a 99 M3, VERY NICE CAR, but he thinks his car is faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile than my truck...

now, I think i would beat him stock, but with my current mods in my sig, i think i will blow him out of the water...

opinions?

What does he claim he runs in the ¼? Isn't the M3 like a 318i style body? Not the big BMW but like the size of an Altima?

99 M3s are at best low 14 sec. cars. A CAI and a chip wont do that much, maybe a high 13 sec. car. Now if it was a E46 M3 (2001-2004), then my money is on the M3 if its properly driven or a darn near draw as I see you have some effective mods on the Lightning. Dave.

personally, i was astonished to find that a guy ran, in an absolutely bone stock M3, a 12.7x in the quarter (it was an E46 M3).

99 is not the E46, its the older looking one (mid 90s body style)

they can be properly driven to the high 13 sec range bone stock, but not lightning worthy even with cai and chip.
