A big OOPS!

Okay, the girlfriend was doing me a favor the other day by adding a little wiper fluid to the SVT. Then she came back and said that she started to poor the wiper fluid in and red liquid over flowed from the container..... Yep, that's right, she added it to the power steering fluid! So here's my question. She said that she added maybe a half cup before it overflowed. What is the potential damage to the power steering if any?

If the car wasn't started then just suck it out with a turkey baster.

If that's not available just disconnect the feed hose and let it drain.


If you ran the car then yes you better flush it.


Replace it with Mobil 1 ATF.
