Where did you attend college?
What was your major?
Did you have a minor/if so what was it?
Do you currently work in the same field you went to school for?
How much of the information you learned in school is applied in the real world?

Thanks

I worked for a major food distribution firm doing their networks for 2 years. Left the industry and am trying to start something new. I made a mistake picking CS as my major :(
Much of the knowledge I picked up in school applied to what I was doing.

I work in engineering, but not what my degree is in. With engineering, in my experience, it is not necissarily what your degree is in, but can you apply your knowledge to a wide variety of different situations and learn new items at the same time.

Just my $0.02

School taught me a lot of very cool things, one being that education can never be taken away from you.

I currently work for the Federal Government, not specifically doing what college prepared me for but my education gave me an indispensable knowledge base.

Nope. Don't work in the field.
I actually use a lot of the anatomy and physiology I learned in my current field. I'm a paramedic fire fighter now. Used to do personal training.

I'm still just a freshmen in school, but I'd say the education I'm receiving now will help me tremendously on the mission field. I'm currently not going to school this semester, but I'm returning to school very soon.
