a little clarification help please

i'm not the smartest at the engine intake dealio, so just point me strait please, i know that superchargers force is a force intake right, and so i hear about these cold air intake things, so can you have both, or just one or the other? sorry if none of this makes sence, im just trying to learn, thanks

"cold air intake" is just the intake pipe that goes to the throttle body on a roots type blower
