A question about chips

Most of my performance time and money is spent on my 89 Saleen, improving power and handling. My 97 Cobra is virtually stock, with the exception of H&R springs, Bilsteins, M&M cc plates, and Global West rear arms.
I'm looking for some cheap, easy horsepower, and a chip seems to be a good source. What are some good chips, and are any programed to turn on the fan earlier, or change the timing?
Any plus or minus issues? If it weren't for the wverheat;ing issues, I'd do the pullies.
Thanks
Thom

pullies arent going to cause any overheating problems, charging issues, i run them on both the cobra, and my 150k mile 5.0 and have no problems on either car, and its been 95-100 degrees around here lately
