I just applied with IDP for a Mech 2 slot in a-stan. Anyone have any expierance with this company or any overseas contractor work? Pay seems to off-set any hardships that might arise...

I'm over here now, I'm attached to the Kiowa unit over here. We have our own compound on KAF so we live well. General contractors stay in the same RLBs that the soldiers stay in for the most part.. I know there are also overflow tents for contractors as well. Other then that life really isn't that bad... I going to look into extended here until we shut down, which would put me here for over a year and a half. I'll look into the company you are talking about and see if I can dig up their situation here on KAF.

I served in the Marines for 5 years and now for the past 14 years have worked in Corrections. I've also considered going overseas to work as a Contractor.
