? about buying a car with no spare tire

does anybody know if it is legal for a dealership to sell a car not equiped with a spare tire.

I don't see why it would be illegal. It's not really "safety equipment". A non-working seatbelt or airbag would be a different story, something of that nature. But a spare tire, don't think so.

I'll sell you my leftover mini spare and scissor jack from my GT. Same as the one for the Cobra. Really, really cheap!

I've bought a new truck before without a spare but never a new car.

Corvettes are sold new do not have spare tires. Of coure they come with run flats though. Its not the dealerships problem to replace the spare tire.

The mazda RX8 does not come with a spare, if its a used car and they dont have a spare for it just work it into the selling price.

why dont you use it as leverage in the deal? maybe they will get you one at no cost?
