a friend of mine just bought an 02 gt 4 speed auto with 4:10 gears installed by the previous owner and he is wanting to install some 3:55's just to have a little more practical ride but every shop in the area has given him a price of over $600 for the install which sounds like a ripp off so considering some of the things ive done in the past i think its well within the range of my mechanical abilities so i was going to install them i have a good idea of how to do it but scince ive never attempted gears before i thought it would be good to get on here and ask if theres anything i should look out for or need,and also maybe a time est for doing the install w the car on jackstands any advice would be appreciated..thanks in advance
