LS1 Dyno Test
Baseline Engine: Stock LS-1 Longblock, LS-6 Intake Manifold, 1 3/4"
Headers-Long Tube Style, 3" Flowmaster Mufflers. *
VS
All Same As Above WithThe Exception Of: AFR LS-1 "205" CNC Heads, Fast
Intake Manifold, Cam-224/228 @.050 .581 Lift, 78mm Ported Throttle Body. *

I thought this was preety impressive. Not to start another war but there is a stock block 346 makin well over 500rwhp n\a. That cam is a little larger then what most people run, but not to big to scare me... still just a lil ole hydrolic roller. :D

so yea. just some pics of how it did.

PS. Car made AFR LS-1 "205" CNC Heads 530HP@6500 and 475lbft@4900

incase u couldnt see the graph.

where the women are hot as hell!!
A buddy of mone has a 408 stroker in his Z, and it has a huge custom grind cam ( can't remember the specs though) and has an ls6 intake and his heads are mildly ported, basically they suck, but he was looking into getting some AFR's but their like $2600 out of the box and they said if he bought them heads it would dyno near 550 or more to the tires. Are your heads right out of the box or did they have some work to them? oh and nice numbers for stock bottom end.

I agree... Mustang Dyno? I dunno.. I will post mine as soon as I get it back (sat or mon). I am getting AFR 205/FAST intake/LG longtubes (high flow cats)/ 228/232 Comp Cam. I only expect about 450 or so at the wheels on a dynojet.

Guys with a 23X size cams and the AFR heads make 500+rwhp.
But thats a bigger cam then the one mentioned above.

BTW Cartek has BEEN doing the 500rwhp for quite some time now. With thier own ported polished ls6 heads. :coolman:

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't those dyno sheets from and Engine Dyno? That package is stout. Tony Mamo of AFR used the same cam above with his AFR 205cc's, along with an 90mm LSX @ 90mm Nick Williams Ported TB to achieve 481rwhp and 43? rwtq, and those numbers are at the rear wheels. The AFR's are stout but very $. You get what you pay for most of the time however.

They are well worth every penny I think. The flow charts on there 205's AND 225's are absolutely insane. I think that head with any 228 or bigger cam will put out ober 500whp.
