Air Bag light comes on and off

For the most part the Air Bag light will stay on but sometimes it'll go away for a few minutes then come back on.:shrug: Hit a deer along time ago but the air bags never deployed and the light came on along time after that. I bought the car new in 2002 so I know for a fact its never been in a wreck. Any thoughts, ways to reset it or something? Thanks
