I had no intention of getting rid of the AIR on my Cobra, but I recently found out that the FRPP shortys I bought won't fit my 98 unless I rework the hard stainless lines. So now I'm thinking about just getting rid of it. Is the only way to get rid of the MIL by using a tuner? I'm going to be running a catless mid pipe with plug in MIL eliminators and I didn't have any plans on getting a tuner yet because I'll only have the shortys, O/R X pipe, cat back, and a JLT intake with maybe pulleys and gears in a couple months.
I guess I could always rework the lines. Has anyone reworked the lines to fit? Thanks.

I have a hard time believing that.

You should be fine.

Another thing, don't bother, unless you're doing long tubes.

Hard time believing what? The roads in NJ are terrible, I've had long tubes on a previous Mustang and I scraped a couple times. I already have the shortys so I'll install them. I was looking for JBA's or mid length headers, but I came across a great deal on these.
