Alarm?

Recently my Cobra got broken into, no alarm went off. Is there no alarm on an 01? What anti theft does this car actually have?

My 02 v6 Camaro has a factory alarm that will go crazy, but a COBRA doesn't have an alarm at all?

My 99 does. Just depends on what sets it off

It should have worked..but the Ford system is supposedly easy to defeat.

Check out RAVELCO..simple idea that works...and not expensive to have installed...company is out of Texas and installs nationwide.

Sorry reread your post: as for the "broken into" that's another issue...first someone has to care that your car is being broken into when the alarm goes off..that IMO is the biggest problem...

The straight scoop:

99/01 Cobras came with PATS systems to prevent some nimrod from driving them off, but they DIDN'T come factory equipped with ALARM systems. An alarm was a dealer installed option. If your car doesn't have a switch for valet mode, you don't have an alarm.

Sometimes the shitty info being bantered about here really trips my trigger.
