Hey guys,

I have a 99 Cobra with the following front suspension mods:
-MM Coil Over kit with 375 spring rates and Koni SA struts
-MM Bumpsteer Kit
-MM CC plates
-shorter end links

In the rear, at least for now, I have Koni SA shocks with Eibach Pro springs

I take the car auto crossing about 2 times a month, and i DD A LOT.

I would like to have a bit more aggressive settings than stock, but I also don't want to burn through my tires quickly. I have absolutely no idea what specs to ask, and do I ask them to adjust the bumpsteer as well? If yes, to what settings should they adjust it to? (or should they know what settings works best??)

Thanks

For daily driving 4.5 postive Caster,-1 degree of camber, factory toe.
For autocross you could dial in more negative camber..
I don't use a bumpsteer in mine..

I would go with .75 or 1.00 degrees negitive camber and at least 5.0 degrees of positive caster (stangs love caster)

As for your bumpsteer. The average alignment shop will most likely look at you like an idiot if you even bother to mention it. In order to get it done you will have to take it to a race shop that does a lot of suspension work. From the discussions I have had with MM the proper way to setup your bumpsteer is to align the car, bump steer it, then re-assemble and check your alignment again. You have to do this because the springs have to come out. Bump steering the car yourself can take a day or so depending on how it goes. You can buy a bump steer gauge from MM.

With all that said you are actually better off learning to do the alignment yourself. Its actaully easy. The first time you do it is the longest/hardest, after that it you should be able to do it in a few hours. You can buy the tools you need for the bump steer and camber/caster from MM and for setting the toe you can simply buy toe plates.

Hope this helps you out.

Some New Edge's won't be capable of reaching 5 degrees of positive caster even with the CO's slammed all the way back towards the firewall..
