There is a fairly new organization called the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, it was formed by an Iraq Veteran to help give us another voice alongisde with the VA and whatnot. The organization is still small but it is growing into a really good advocate for Veterans rights. They helped spear head the latest approval of back stop loss pay (which has yet to be recieved) as well as working directly with the VA to ensure Vets are getting their GI Bill payments on time which i know for some has caused issues. It is free to join. I joined them back in January and they always keep you updated with whats going on with VA benefit changes, GI Bill, and other important Veterans issues. They even can get free tickets to certain events in your hometown. Its a good up and coming organization thats here for us. Heres the web address. Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America
