Am I OUT OF MY MIND

Help me out guys... Would I be out of my mind to pay $8000 for a 98 CSVT with only 23,000 miles on it? I love my 99, and have only had it for about a month, but I don't want to pass up a very rare find. Talk some sense into me if you think I need it.

I've gotta ask. Is $8000 the asking price? If so, everything is negotiable. Tell them that you'll give them $7000, and you'll sign the paperwork this week. Sounds like that'd be a pretty good find, as long as everything checks out. Things still go wrong within 23k miles, so don't think that you're getting a showroom car necessarily. Let us know the details!

Thanks for the advice. The asking price is actually $8500, but I figured after negotiations it would end up about $8000. I plan on running a carfax and getting all the info I can from the seller. He it is in perfect mechanical condition. Als says he has added K&N air filter and a Superchip. Haven't heard back from him yet, but am crossing my fingers it all pans out.
