If you want to brag about having 400 RWHP, you will get there easier with the Mustang cams. I made 395/395 SAE dynojet with a good tune. No mods but the swap headers. I never tried to make more. We only detuned.
Even in my racecar, we didn't bother with aftermarket oil pump gears.

It's not a huge deal just kinda a benchmark, all dynos will read different anyways. Something close I will be happy with, like I said just mainly a cruiser on the street so the torque will be nice.

This isn't the place to debate dynos but just so you know, the idea behind the SAE setting on a dynojet is to adjust for weather so that a dyno run is consistent from machine to machine. It is one of the main tools we use for keeping performance in check in NASA. Like any machine, it is not fool-proof.

Curious...what did you do with your oil dipstick?? Mine is very hard to get a hold of and I've thought about getting a longer one from a truck or something so it's easier to remove.

I ended up leaving the dipstick in its stock location. It is tight to reach but I can still get to it. Since the car is track only, I only check it 10 times per weekend... LOL. Luckily it doesn't burn or drop any oil so I never have to add any except during an oil change.

Understood. My first track event with the new motor & suspension is in 3 weeks so just trying to get prepared. I don't drop or burn any either, but still like to keep an eye on it.

Man I just don't have time to read thru 12 pages of posts. What did the Coyote swap end up costing the OP? I'm considering buying my old 97 Cobra back and the current owner says it won't run now. Has been sitting idle for over a year. I have about $11k of suspension, exhaust and other mods in the car so for the right price it's likely a good buy.

I never tallied up exactly what it cost. I can give rough numbers of the big ticket items. If you are considering a swap like this, you should do some research.
Engine 3000
Control pack 1500
Pulley kit 500

Just wanted to update the group. This beast is FOR SALE. I 'retired' from racing and have just purchased a new GT350.

It's on racingjunk, ebay, FB, etc. Asking $19K. Message me for details.
