Well technically it is 6 different countries doing the bail out. If you divide the total by six it is about 383 billion each country would be lending.

Well, technically 7, according to the article (Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Britain), whose combined population is less than the US; 301 Mil for the US VS roughly 277 mil for the 7.

My calculator says the US bailout per person is $2,324, EU is $8,303 (more or less)
