Animated Gifs??

Can someone give me a crash course in this? I have Photoshop at home. I have heard that you could make the animated gifs with that. Is that true? If so, I would like to learn how to do some simple ones. Anyone know how to do it?

I use Adobe Image Ready ! I edit with photo shop then use image ready to make the gifs..
