Another JLT RAI Question (Painted vs Unfinished)

Hey all,

Did a little searching and couldn't find anything on this specific topic. Getting ready to order my JLT RAI and I have decided to go with a painted one.

Question is for people running the painted ones. How does the paint hold up over time?

Just concerned that I am going to pay an extra $30 and have the paint failing in a year or two leaving it looking worse than if I had just gone with an unpainted one.

I have a painted JLT first gen CAI and the paint is holding just fine. I plan on getting the gen 2 CAI and I will have it painted also.

I've had a JLT CAI or RAI on my car since 2005 with Zero problems!!

yeah I had a painted one for about 5 years now and it looked great up until the day I wrapped it in carbon fiber vinyl.
