Guys, I have searched online and find different information in regards to Nitto tires running narrow. I am seriously considering running the Nitto NT05 tire in a 315 35 17 with a 17x10.5 afs wheel. Question is how wide is this tire? Does the NTO5 run wider than say the 555r? I like that the NTO5 tires is great for everyday use but I also want the wide look. My second option is the toyo tq. Any advise and pics are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I am looking to buy a pair of 315 tires this spring, it looks as though the 555r's are the narrowest of the nitto tires. The NT05, NT05r, and 555 are all wider than the 555r's

I have the nt05 in 275. I just got the 315 toyo tq on a 10.5 wheel. between those two there is a 2'' difference. I am not sure about the 315 though. All I can tell you is that the tq's are big. I was going to get the nto5 but the toyo was cheaper and I found out that the tq was made with an Irs in mind. No info on the nt555r.

I'm not exactly sure what you're wanting to know but I have nitto 555R's on 315/35/17's on AM chrome Replicas and no rubbing. I also ran the same tire on some AFS reps on my old car with no rubbing issues.

The 555R are notorious for running very narrow for a given size. The NT05 is much truer to size versus other manufacturers. A 315/35 NT05 will work great on a 10.5 rim

When you say big does that mean you had to roll fenders and use spacers?

I have the not5r 315/35/17 on a 17x10.5 wheel. They fit good without issues and no rubbing. No spacers on mine. I have a sra though

Yeah Im lowered with lo pro irs bolts

It really comes down to what you want/need. Nitto nt05 or toyo tq. I would stay away from the nt555. Like I said I have the 275 nitto nt05 but just like you wanted that wide look. The nt05 were pretty good with my 500rwhp. They have a 200 tread raiting but do not come with a lot of tread to begin with. The tq's are softer and probably hook better. I think they should last the same or nt05's get a few more thousand miles. Like I said the tq's were made with an irs in mind. Also The tq's run wider then the nt05's based on the websites and everyone says nitto runs narrow and toyo run wide. Now if you get the nt05r those run just as wide as the tq's. Also you can't beat the price of the tq's. I will have pictures in a month or two depending on what this MI weather does

Thanks a lot man, you gave me some good info! Now to decide on front tires since it appears toyo only makes a higher end front tire in 275 40 17
