Looking to change the SC pulley on my 04 Eaton. Some of the pulley vendor sites have instructional pics showing how to use their pulley removal/install tools. The instructions indicate that the install tools screw into the end of the shaft. The pulley shaft on my 04 has a plastic plug in the end of the shaft vs a bolt seen on the earlier models.

My question is: even though it is equipped with a plug, is the shaft also threaded behind the plug to allow the use of one of these tools?

Yes it is, when using a thread in style puller;
A. Make sure to grease the bolt and face area around it, this well help too reduce drag.
B. Make sure the Bolt/Puller all make contact snuggly any gap can promote stretch in the bolt that conects the puller to the shaft.
