can someone tell me what "LS", "T/A" and "WS6" stand for sorry if this is a stupid question but it's been bugging the crap out of me

can someone tell me what "LS", "T/A" and "WS6" stand for sorry if this is a stupid question but it's been bugging the crap out of me

LS is the engine code i guess you would say for GM motors i.e. LS1, LS2, LS7 etc..

T/A stands for Trans Am

WS6 is a model of Trans Am which came with factory "ram air" and maybe some other stuff...maybe someone else will chime in on that
