I have owned my '04 Cobra convert for two months. Having come directly from a Honda S2000, I was even more alarmed than expected about the dreaded cowl shake on my Terminator. It already had subframe connectors so I added a Maximum Motorsports strut tower brace. Still shakes, but now there is a disturbing noise on every road surface that sounds like the hood prop rod is loose, but it's not. I replaced the cowl grill and clips, still there. Seems to emanate from the center of the dash.
In addition, when in reverse there is a whirring sound with the clutch engaged that also sounds like it's inside the center of the dash. This has stumped two shops so far.
OK, so any guesses out there?
