What's up all?
I was just curious if anyone out there plays the guitar?

I do. And have since I was about 6yrs old.. I am 23yrs old now.
Well, I should say I played the guitar off and on for six years..
Age 6-12..
I really got into it again when I was a teenager..
Been playing everyday since.
I taught myself how to play.. never once had a pro lesson.
My Dad, who has played for 30+years had shown me the basics..
I just took off from there..
I can't read music. But I know everything by ear.

I can also play the bass guitar, piano, keyboard and drums.
All self taught. Not to shabby, huh? :D

My guitar of choice is a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Jr.. (single cutaway)
I also have a new Jackson Warrior XT.
My acoustic/electric guitar of choice, is a Gibson/Montana.

I have an Ibanez GS200 bass. It's about the same color as Ford's Sonic Blue Pearlcoat. Only, theirs is called Jewel Blue.

But I was just curious to see if anyone else on SVTP shares my passion for music. Anything from classical to blues.. heavy metal.. souther rock..
If it has a good beat, I like it. And I'll play it!

I've been playing for quite awhile. I have a 2000 Fender American Strat and a twin reverb amp. I like the blues

When feeling folksy I have a Martin 6-string.

I've been playing about 7 years since I was 12. My brother and dad both play aswell. Dad, 28 years, and bro 5. I play an ESP\LTD M-300, Washburn dime-333, and have Randall Warhead, amp head, running through a crate cabnint. My dad who post on this site also plays a Jackson PS-1, Ibanez Les Paul copy. ibanez Rg 770, and a 1974 Fender Strat. He has numorous amps.

I've been playing for 5 years. I too have never had a pro lesson. Started off looking up tabs on songs I liked over the net and now I'm starting to write a lot of my own stuff. Been using the same Ibanez RG series electric I started on along with my Crate 15w practice amp. I plan on getting something a little larger soon though. I'd love a PRS standard 24 but I'd also love just having the $3,000 to spend on one.

How about a 3yr old with less than 20hrs, Peavey Ultra120 3channel head with the EVH 5150 slant cab. not a single scratch on it anywhere?
I'll meet halfway up to 250-300 miles.

Post pics and maybe a link with more info on the stuff. I'm in Fort Worth. I'm willing to bet that's less than 300 miles from Southern Louisiana. By post I mean PM, sorry. Oh yeah, and a price. I'm on a budget somewhat.

Awesome guys!
My Les Paul (original, no repro!) was given to me at birth my by Dad.
He bought it off a hippie at the music store here.
He was selling it for bail money.. his buddy was in the clink!
Also, my Dad bought a Yamaha Amp off him.
With two 12" pyle driver speakers..
Not for sure on the wattage.. but it will rock for sure.

The amp I have now, was my Dad's back in the day.
It's a stack Amp.. with prolly a 15"-18" speaker in the cabinet..
Pushing out some major wattage.. :)

Definetly old school.
But I can rock the house..
I have a Behringer X VAMP effects pedal.
I really like it.

Also, it's good to know that some fellow SVTP guys share my enthusiasm for music!

I've been playing on and off for 15 years. I picked up a guitar and learned to play by ear. I later learned to read tab. I'm one of those annoying people. If you play a lick in front of me I can repeat it by just seeing your fingers and hearing the notes.

I mainly play bass. (I have 4) My favorite is my first. An Ibanez SG. Followed by an Alembic 5-string narrow neck. Only 5-string I could ever get my stumpy fingers around.
I also have a Charvel Jackson with dual mode active pickups and a GTX (with Plymouth stickers - go old school Mopar)

I have an old Gibson Epiphone guitar I play some harmony and blues on.

I also have a basic MIDI keyboard I can play. (took lesson for many years when I was young so I can read sheet music and sit and play it)
I even have a TASCAM 6-track and drum machine from the old days.

I can rock out with my own bad self. :coolman:

I don't have any PA equipment anymore.
I still have a 100 watt Bassman and hookups to run through any stereo amp.

I do still have my 2 favorite pedals! A Morley Pro Series WAH and a BOSS MetalZone.

I just started teaching myself how to play this year. My first guitar was a Fender F 25 acoustic that I bought from a friends mom for $25, and I just bought a Stratocaster and a FM65R Fender amp before christmas :pepper:
