I have one and I have had it about 2-3 years and have about 9,000 miles on it.
Even though it is supposed to be the same as the stock motor.
It doesn't have the horsepower as my old motor.
Does any one have any thoughts on why this would be the case?

Did you actually dyno it or take it to the track? Or are you going by seat of the pants? I was told mine has a remanned engine when I bought it. It was one of the reasons I went ahead with the purchase. The PO did end up giving me the paperwork for the engine. But mine feels plenty strong. No complaints about it.

If everything is good in the blower department (BPV closing, no belt slip, etc) I'd do a compression test. And maybe a leak down test.

I put a new belt on and it is very tight. I don't know what the BPV is though.
Someone said that the cam timing could be different in this reman motor.
But not sure how that is checked or fixed if it is.

The BPV is the bypass valve. It opens at part throttle to vent excess boost. It can leak and cause a loss of boost.

A compression test will tell you if the cam timing is off. If it is the numbers will be low on the side with the off timing.

It's part of the blower. I'm not totally sure where it is on the KB though.

60 rwhp less from what? From your previous dyno with the old engine?

I see in your other thread you are comparing the #s to what KB says it "should" make which they claim 660rwhp. So technically if you are going by that, you are not down 60rwhp at all. I would not try to compare to KBs claims at all. Plus comparing different dynos is a whole different story.

Looking at your other thread, you are running 18.5#s of boost on pump gas making 600rwhp. That is about spot on where you should be with that setup.

Also why is my torque so much lower than everyone else's?

Different pulley and exhaust combinations.

Different tuners/tuning styles(ie. timing etc)

Different dynos and correction factors

Different conditions

Most 2.8s on that type of boost make around 500rwtq. They are lazy down low and do not make big TQ #s at that type of boost.

There is nothing wrong with your car. Its making right around the power it should. You will not make 660rwhp at that type of boost on pump gas.

Can you post your dyno sheet?

and meth adds 20 to 30 more horsepower.
I wouldn't think it's the meth itself adding power. It's the extra timing it allows you to run that adds the power. Just my thoughts.
