I'm leaning towards getting some race stars with MT DRs. What kind of ETs are you guys running with them, and what are your 60fts like?

I run mt 325/50/15 on some race stars. My best 60ft is a 1.60 and best et is 11.82. they are tricky to get a good launch. I cant just drop the clutch like I would on slicks. I have to let the clutch out quickly but not too fast or you will spin and too slow or you burn the clutch. My msd two step helped the most in getting my launch down.

When my car was NA I ran a 12.11 @ 117+ MPH with a 1.69 60 foot time on 295/45/17 MT DR's on 17 x 9.5 Race Star wheels.

Thanks for the info. If I could just get my 60s in the mid 1.7s I would be ecstatic, that would be .4 off of my previous best. I believe that along with being able to shift hard would get me in the low 12s.

No problem

That was also when I still had the stock clutch in my car and was having to 'granny' shift the car because my car had the 'clutch sticks to the floor at high RPM's' problem!

My 60ft on my best pass was a 2.16 so I have plenty of room for improvement. My goal is to run in the 12.30s with just a K&N,LCAs,race stars and DRs. Then I would like to add a
Tune and shoot for the 11s.

The DR's will definitely help your times!!

I had the following mods when I ran the 12.11:

Lund 93 octane tune
JLT CAI
Lethal O/R X-pipe
Flowmaster 'Hushpower' axlebacks
17" Race Star wheels with the MT DR's

I think you can reach your goal with the tires and some good driving!! Good luck!!

Thanks I wOuld like to whittle away at this car so I can see what I can get out of it each step of the way. I'll just be glad to actually be able to "drive it" how I want to and slam the gears in stead of babying it and losing et cause of soft shifts and wheelspin.I'll eventually get the skinnies to match and go on a diet it should really fly then!lmao

With cai, x pipe, cat back, and 100 shot ran 6.97 in the 1/8 with a 1.46 60'. Using 295/55r15 on 15x10 race stars.

Hard to hook unless the track is setup nice but when it is :)

That Boss intake isn't going to help you out at all. Unless you can drop the hammer at 6K and shift at 7,700, you are better moving back to the stock piece.

I run the Hoosier drag radials on a pair of 15x10 Racestars and I was getting all 1.6-1.7s yesterday at the track. The only suspension mod I have is the Roush upper control arm in the rear.

I am selling my RaceStar wheels and tires off my 2012 Boss. They have 10 passes and 60 miles on the street. Front 17's with MT skinnies, and rear 15x10 with 275 MT ET streets. At NED on a SLIPPERY TRACK, my 60's were 1.80's and 12.teens......

Please PM me if interested.

Thanks

Mike
