While the Roush grille comes close to matching the CDC upper grille, it is not quite a perfect match. Has anyone cut and shaved the vertical and horizontal plastic pieces (where you'd mount emblems on either side) inside the CDC upper to make it smooth and open like the Roush lower or would the upper lose too much structural integrity as a result? Also, has anyone done a floating pony grille emblem in the center of the CDC upper?

I've never seen that done and It looks perfect as is. Get a picture up I'll PS for you.
I haven't installed anything yet. I didn't want to try it if it's doomed to fail lol.
I'd like to see what is looks like.
