Anyone else have this problem?

After my car is warmed up after driving, if i let it sit and idle I can hear a rattling from underneath the car, I think it is coming from the trans. It gets louder/worse when the fan comes on and drags the motor down a little. It sounds like someone is taking an old wooden, hexagon-shaped pencil and rolling it under their hand across a desk. My TOB squeaks also, I don't know if it is related.

I didn't know if it was something I should be concerned about :shrug:

could be thousands of millions of things... but i would say its time for a tob...and check ur header bolts and flange.our trannys make lots of noises.mine used to make noises till i re did the clutch and flywheel and tob and pilot bearing.now its pretty quiet. but yeah if ur having prob with ur tob put a new one in then see if the noise goes away either way u need a new one.

Forgot to mention the car has 61k miles, a new clutch at 52k that the previous owner had installed.
