Wondering if I should get this done this Spring when I take the car out of storage. I am going to take it in anyways for the reflash on the computer to fix stalling issue, before I start modding. But when my better half rides with me the passenger seat squeaks like crazy, it drives both of us nuts!

Someone previously posted this as a potential fix...

The existing seat mounting holes have a little bit of free-play in them. If you just loosen up the seat mounting bolts, you can push the seat towards the console and that might give you enough clearance to keep the seat from squeaking against the door panel. It might be worth a 5 minute effort to try this first.

The fix is just them using shims to reposition the seat. I have a .jpg of the TSB. If you want a copy, PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy.

Mine did the same when I bought the car. I did exactly what Top Fuel suggested you do. Loosen the bolts, push the seat inboard toward the console and then tighten the bolts. Fixed mine...

I tried the seat adjust but the rub it was too severe. So, I ordered the parts (around 10 bucks) and did the re and re myself. I just didn't trust a dealer to remove the seat and carefully pull back the seat cover enough to replace the parts without doing damage.

I had to bring mine in for the 80 mph+ vibe anyways so I had the dealer shim it. They did a good job and no more rubbing since then.

One thing that happened to me recently: I was treating all the leather [tip--everyone should use leather care products on their leather several times a year to help prevent the leather drying out and cracking] and the next morning on my way to work I heard a rattling sound like a loose latch. I figured one of my rear seats hadn't latched when I closed them but that wasn't it. I searched all around the back seat area but couldn't find the rattle. Listening while driving, I narrowed the rattling down to the front passenger seat. Turns out I had lifted the headrest while spreading the leather treatment and it was rattling. I pushed it down and the rattle stopped. I know, simple and stupid of me not to notice immediately...
