anyone in the coast guard?

my friend is thinking of joining the coast guard, and he has a interview with the guys in a few days and i told him there going to do everything to get him to join as its there job, but anyone have any experience in the coast guard or any tips on it. my friend will regret it i know he will he is not that kind of person he has a *** it attitude and doesn't care he jus get persuaded easily, he watched the movie the guardian and after that he wanted to be a coast guard pretty dumb i told him straight up, but i can't seem to get him to change his mind. anyone have real experience? thanks

The coast guard isn't going to be calling him up. I am not a coasty but I live with one they are great people. Can your friend handle 20ft seas in a 110 foot boat. I've seen the vids and it sucks ass. Tell him unless he really has the balls to deal with it he should just join the Navy.
