I am thinking that would be a nice cheap mod I can do myself and it would make the car look better. I guess the factory caliper color was black....mine's all doodoo brown and gray, time to paint!

Should I go back with black or try red or heck even yellow might look cool?

Post pictures please!! I need some ideas!

I painted mine with VHT brake caliper paint. Red and black. Worked great.

I have some close ups at home if you want them.

^Yep, that's what I did. Took apart the bracket end and painted it black, and then the actual caliper (that houses the pistons) red.

Wow guys your making an easy case for the color red!

turbo2300, your car is exactly like mine so I can see exactly how good it will look if I go with the red!

Thanks guys for the pictures...keep em coming!!!

Tell me more about the wheel spacers!! I've heard about people putting wheel spacers on their cars to move the wheels out a little bit further so it appears the wheel fills up the fender well a bit more. What size spacers did you use?

Thanks,

Adam

Red on a black car...just pops out.

I did black on mine just because I wasn't 100% sold on the red with mineral grey.
I like the black...cleans it up over the raw metal.

Don't do yellow. As soon as it starts to get a little dirty, they just look dingy as crap....

I wanted to give you a heads up... I painted my calipers a few years ago and recently got into driving my car on the road course. My calipers got so hot that it discolored the high-temp caliper paint that I used. They are now red & burnt sienna (my favorite crayola crayon color:bored:).

I was thinking the same thing on my MG and almost went black. Turned out that I like the red. Black would have looked good as well, but just would have blended away.

looks good to me. have you had any probs with them? the spacers
not really, it slightly rubs sometimes (i have steeda lowering springs) and it looks alot better cause the back is now wider than the front is. handles better too.
OK, if you have an intercooler, I will give you a little slack.
