Anyone run a 325/40/18 tire specifically M&H DR?

Looking to put a set of these on my turbo cobra because I need a 28" tire. They will be going on my 18x10 BBS RKs and I have a solid rear. Mainly seeing how fitment is and how you like them. I know a few guys who have been 9s on the M&H so I know they have the ability to hook.

Unfortunately besides the NT05R no one makes the right size 28" drag radial in 18s and the nittos just wont hook like I need them to. I have 305/35/18 Et Street IIs now and love them but they are only 26.5".

The 325/45 R17 is an amazing tire. That's what I run. My buddy Nick runs the 18's on his car and likes them a lot. He was just featured in 5.0 magazine, Texas Terror.

Not bad huh? That's why I went from 18's to 17's. And kept my 13" rear brakes.

I might have to snag a set of 17x10.5s chrome stockers and try those out

This is what the 325/45 R17 M&H looks like on a 10.5" wheel. I mounted them before I widened the wheels or did the bead locks. I checked fitment after each step of the way to make sure they would fit on my car perfectly when they were finished. I ended up widening the 10.5" wheels to 11.25", then the bead lock brought them out to 12". I love the way they turned out. But I would run these tires on a 10.5" wheel in a heart beat.

This is compared to a 305/35 R18 Mickey Thompson on a 10" wheel.

Had a set of 275's on my 01 could dump the clutch at 5500rpm with no spin at the track. My pops has 325/18 on his gt500, they hook hard. makes my r888's look like garbage, as far as fitment i'd like to know also. M&H will be my next tire

Car was ugly (at the body shop still) but here ya go.

This was after the wheel was widened from 10.5" to 11.25". Still had plenty of clearance on the inside.

i agree with m&h for the best street/strip tire. of all the 17" drag radaials I have used, they are for sure the best.

At a certain point though, moving to 15" wheels is almost a must. more sidewall=better traction.

thank you for this post. it pretty much sealed the deal on what tires i have to get in the future. also need to widen my rims now as well.

Your very welcome! I had Weld Craft widen/narrow my wheels and Champion did the bead locks.
