I have an '04 Mach 1 with 4.30 gears and a Built Cobra spec t56. I'm having trouble launching on slicks. I can't keep it from bogging. I even tried launching at 7,000rpm last night and it still bogged. Any tips? I've tried letting the clutch out smooth, and I've tried dropping it. The best 60' I can get so far is 1.79. Keep in mind this car makes 319hp/337tq at the tires. Can any of you launch successfully with this combo? The car also has a decent amount of weight reduction and should weight about 3,000lbs or less. Thanks

I have 4:10's and they are not enough either. I am going with 4:56's. Seems like everyone that has them loves them.

And you have a 3650 transmission correct? No wonder I am having trouble then. You have much better gearing than I do and are still having issues.

No I have a viper spec 6 speed. I wish my 3650 would have held up. Loved the first gear in that trans!!

Oh okay, I overlooked that in your sig. What size slicks are you running? I'm using 28x10.5 because they came with the car. They work great on nitrous, but bog bad N/A. I'm thinking about trading someone for some 26x10.5 slicks and see if that helps. It will help some for sure, but I don't know if it will kill the bog. If it doesn't I might have to change out my gears for 4.56's, but I will have to make sure I won't run out of gear in the 1/4. N/A I will be fine but I might run out on nitrous.

According to the gear calculator I will be fine N/A but I WILL run out of gear with the 26 tires on nitrous. Guess I need to keep two sets of tires.

I ran 4.10's with a T56 and probably would have preferred 4.30's or even 4.56's. @ 60 in 6th I was barely turning 1600 rpms:nonono:

With a T56 you need a lot of power to move the car off the line in drag racing. If you just have bolt ons and no power adders you will just bog almost everytime. I have a T56 and when I was n/a I couldn't get off the line to save my life. Now with the turbo on my car. It gets off the line great and I have stock gears.

Whats the difference is 1st gear ratios from a 3650 to a t56. I have 4.10s with a 3650 and a 26x11.50x16 MT ET Street and cut high 1.5's

I cut a 1.61 60' last night on nitrous. Still can't launch the thing N/A though.
