Are 265 40s too small for the 2000 R wheels?

Just wondering if its a perfect fit for the fronts or will it look small on the 9.5 width. I have 315s in the rears already just worried about the fronts.

265x40x18 is the factory correct size for a '00R

if you meant a 35 series then: 265x35x18 is a little small for the 9.5" wheel. You will want to use a 275x35x18 instead.

yes, that is the correct factory size tire which came originally on the R's.

However, you can run up to a 285/30 on those rims. Any wider than that will likely cause issues, unless you go to a wider rim.

I have widen 18 x 11 Rs 315 30 18.
