I had a crank "fixed" because the thrust bearing failed and melted on to the thrust surface of the crank. The first guy screwed it up, so I had to have it ground again to make it right. Now my crank endplay is about .010", which is a little on the high side for my tastes. Does anyone make oversize thrust bearings for these engines with a some more meat on the thrust flange? I'd rather not resort to the expense of welding and re-machining to get back a few thousandths.
