Anyone ever bought one? Looking for feedback as I couldn't find anything on the web. I lost 3rd gear in my 12' RS3 and Ford is telling me it would be more costly to repair it (apparently some parts for the earlier mt82s are no longer made?!?), than to replace it with an aftermarket (upgraded) unit. Astro has 3 levels of upgrades and was wondering if anyone had used one of their transmissions. I'm using my non-ford extended warranty to get the costs covered, so swapping to a tremec wouldn't be an option right now. I tried to reach out to Ben Calimer a few times regarding his MT82's, but got no replies. I saw that VMP also sells Calimer transmissions, but they had a 2-4 week wait, when I Inquired last week.
Warranty was provided an estimate for replacement with the Level I, but I was thinking about paying the $200 difference for the Level II.
