AT Trans question

Hey everyone, just wondering if there is an easy fix to my transmission problem. My trans on my 90 GT shifts super fast and goes into overdrive so the car basically falls on its face unless I mash the gas. I wasn't sure why the trans would be doing this so before I try and put a T5 in it can anyone suggest what to do?

Start with adjusting the TV cable if out of adjustment shifts can be late or early.
