I just went to the local Kragen to buy some Autolite AR103's (my friend works there so I know I wont get BS'd) and he said they were $4.99 a piece!!! I have done some searching on here and most people said they could get all 8 for $14!! What's the deal? Anyone have the part number and price? I need new plugs but wanted to stay away from the NGK's. Thanks!

There are two types of AR103's I believe. I bought the ones that were 8 for $10. They would great and the stock gap was 34 if I recall correctly.

I paid $4 a piece in a local performance shop. 4.99 sounds a bit high. I believe anywhere from 3-4 bucks is pretty fair.

Dan, I thought everyone said the AR103's are the NGK TR6 equivalent? Would it be safe to run the standard autolites with a lot of boost and nitrous?

I would definetly get the performance plug. why take a chance running high boost and nitrous. spend the extra 20 bucks and get the ar103s.

-My 2 cents.

The AR is the autolite racing plug. The standard autolite 103 is the same heat range and much cheaper. I know someone running the regular autolite 103 in his 2.8 pulley/nitrous 03 Cobra. Seems to work OK. I'm going to move to the 104 because I think the 103 is too cold for my car.

His dyno sheet with nitrous.

wow awesome!! Thanks Dan! I am going to Kragen tomorrow to pick those up. I guess the AR plugs have a "non-resistor" while the regular 103's have a resistor. They are both copper plugs but about a $3.50 price difference between the two! Thanks for the quick repsonse, I almost bought the AR's online.

Thanks for saving me a lot of money! :)
