Why have most seemed to have abandoned autologic chips? Are the newer options from SCT and Revolution that much better?

I dont know why, but I do know that I had an autologic chip and it was the flattest curve that I have seen around my area. I sent it back, they re-burned it and then it was perfect.
You would think it would be a better idea then the predator for nitrous users too because you can simply flip a switch and you have a new tune. (more fuel,less timing) If your cruising around and you want to hit the NOS and you have the predator, what do you do........Pull over and put a new tune it it??? Ive always thought the chip was a better all around deal.

Autologic and diablo basically joined forces just like fordchip and superchip did to form SCT. The autologic software was lacking in many areas.
I really like the performance of my autologic, and just wondered why so many seemed to go another direction. Thanks for the replies.
