The current issue of Autoweek magazine did a nice comparism of the Focus SVT vs. the Honda Civic si. The Focus was priced less, faster and braked better. The Honda they said had a smoother revving engine while the Focus SVT was a little rougher.. All in all, a favorable article for the Focus SVT...

yeah Motor trend this month did the same thing with the SI, GTI (VW) SE-R (Nissan) and the Focus, GTI was the fastest of the group, but the Focus won hands down
