Usually my short game is not bad and my driver is erratic. Last three outings my driver has been great for me. More fairways off the tee box in three rounds than probably ever round of my life combined. My short game has been inconsistent though. Two things I learned is that I got too accustomed to ball flight in cooler weather so I need to recalibrate myself and I have never hit out of true rough until Saturday. Last two rounds were a 106 where the rough killed me around the green and a 94 where I was 6 over after the 1rst two holes. However, these were legit scores no mulligans, take penalties. I know they may not be perfect but, a personal launch monitor, I believe, is really helping. I am getting a better understanding of swing speeds and working that into memory. I have also worked a pre shot routine in and been sticking with it. Last thing is a new mental approach. I try to take about 5-10 mph off my driver swing the first two holes and just hit the fairway. Build confidence, then start bringing in the speed. My last three outings I have averaged a solid 285 off the tee with hero drives of 309 and 324. This is sticking a 6 iron from 194 yards yesterday. Does two women scissoring sound like an armpit farting contest?
