[QUOTE="Red Turtle, post: 8039473, member: 17647"] :rollseyes LOL, this is coming from a guy that is running his own business. Let me guess, your ported blowers are barely breaking you even and you do it because you enjoy it.... It always blows me away to see people running to save 25-40% off lets say electronics (e.g. when Circuit City announced their closings) and feel like they got an awesome deal. Now when they get the same type of discount on a $30k-$40k car or truck, it is not enough and the dealer is still making a killing. Yep, the real secret is that dealers only pay half the sticker for the car, keep rebates for themselves, and make 10-15k per unit :burn: :rollseyes To make it clear: If anyone purchases a car/truck on A,Z,D,X plan with a pin number, the selling price has to match the INVOICE (whether you think that it is true or not) with the corresponding price of that plan. I was a manager in the business for 3+ years and yes we made good money on Used Cars, but new was a different story. What was really cool is that if you sold a Ranger at MSRP you were lucky to make $900 on the front end of the deal. Now throw in the commisson of the Salesperson, filling the tank, and the wage of the delivery person, and two detail guys, you might have enough to pay the light bill for the time that it took to make the deal.
