One it allows better support of the bearing caps with the load bolts. Also I can service the differential easier being it has a fill and drain plug(my stock fill plug is seizes)

I am a SN95er, not a New Edge( I did have a 99 Cobra though)

I love my rear end cover. Allows the car to hold an extra quart of fluid and the thick aluminum design really helps to dissipate heat.
