B.S. website selling

so I tried to buy this gl-2 camera to make some good new videos, then the guy calls me and tells me it's an "import" model and the menu will be all in japanese. Then he tells me it doesn't even come with a battery or charger, and if I want to cancel the order, there is a 10% restocking fee, but it hasn't even been shipped! I told him if I see any charge on my credit card, I will report him to the better business bereau. Nowhere on the site does it say that it isn't the right model, nor does it say it doesn't come with any software or a battery, or any warranty. give me a break.

You do realize if you dont buy products from authorized vendors any warranty would be void, right?

Yeah, those camera shops can be sneaky. They advertise lower prices because they are not U.S. models and have no warranty. Usually several hundred dollars difference.

Lots of the sites do that, those items are termed "Grey" and can be cheaper but will not be covered. Best to stick with B&H or Adorama, both do a great deal of business with many of the photograhers I know.
