Alright well just got home from the track. Just put on some new Nitto 315 drags on stocker wheels. Previous personal Best with worn 275 Nitto drags was:
60'-2.002
330-5.365
1/8-8.104
MPH-91.40
1000-10.452
1/4-12.382
MPH-120.62

New PB:
60'-1.780
330-5.154
1/8-7.942
MPH-87.87
1000-10.318
1/4-12.282
MPH-115.42

I was really happy with the 60' times and the way it was hooking, but the trap speed was over 5mph slower! At first i thought it was heat soak etc, but consistantly all night i was trappin 115s on every run even after hour cool down. Then I thought maybe the new tires are a bit bigger and heavier causing the lower traps. But on two runs I noticed the clutch(stock) slipping just a hair in 4th and 5th. Does that sound right? That the clutch could slip just a lil bit on the top end and cause the poor trap speeds?
Mods are: afco H/E, 2.8 upper, cat delete x-pipe, magnaflow catback, k&n intake kit, tri-ax shifter, headlamp removed, dyno tune, 4.10 gears, diff brace and mounts, Nitto 315/35zr17 drags.
I was happy about the new PB and 60' times but i was really going there tonight thinkin I might see 11's. Anyone got any input?

Very nice job! Improvement is ALWAYS good.....

Did you go to the same track both times? MPH timers can sometimes be a little tempremental from track to track. And please tell me you're not going into 5th gear on your runs? Could possibly be the clutch.

He sure is! He just about has too at that MPH. That's why I don't suggest 4.10's for our cars, they've got plenty of torque down low and the trap high.

I'd suggest getting a taller tire or putting a set of 3.90's, 3.73's or 3.55's back in the car. It'll be easier to launch and run an even better time without that last shift you're doing. Our cars don't like going into fifth, you should always end a run in your last power gear (4th!)

Good luck to you.
